walking over a ventilation grill under the midday sun, my eye caught my own shadow on the cement pavement perhaps four meters below. i just couldn’t resist…
the sun was almost vertical so just standing there made for rather uninteresting shadows. so i first sat down on the metal grill, then i lay down, then twisted this way and that, assuming positions i thought looked interesting on the floor below. the light made it so i could hardly seeing anything on the compact camera’s viewfinder.
after about five minutes of twisting and cavorting, i stood up with an air of great dignity, tucked away the camera, brushed my clothes off with my hands and started to waltz off. a guy who had been discreetly watching me from a safe distance commented ‘man, i thought you were having seizures in slow-motion!’
