BLACK BERLINERS – shady photo essay
i spend six days in berlin trying to avoid the puddles caused by the near-incessant rain and wishing for a little direct sunlight to make the colors shine a bit. and when the sun finally does come out – just instants before sunset – i spend the entire time shooting shadows…
photographs taken in june 2012 in berlin, germany.

The best photos I have seen in a while! Well done!!! Love every one !
wow – what an impressive comment!
thank you, pawel
My pleasure !!!
Very nice shadow work. Great little series.
thank you very much
Shades of wonderful!
These are superb. The single bicycle is especially beautiful. Your work is always innovative and interesting.
i truly appreciate the compliment – thank you.
about being always innovative: on the one hand it keeps things interesting, fun and educational, but on the other it can make it more difficult to sell your services or your work. employers, customers, publishers tend to prefer photographers who stick to a specific topic all the time. which hardly matches my idea of creativity.
Great great pictures Alessandro !
thanks thanks, sandro!
Excellent series, especially the bike (#4) and ‘good bye’ (#7, self portrait I assume) ;~)
bikes are a pretty safe bet in photography – those shapes just seem to please the eye. and, yup, last one is yours truly
thanks rudolf.
¡Impresionante!, solo puedo decirte que me han encantado, la de la bicicleta y la primera mis favoritas, besos
es un placer compartir – y tambien praticar, de vez en cuando, mi castellano
besos
Playful and fun!
it was fun. or, let’s say it was fun until some random lady in a striped hat thought i was doing something too fishy and started screaming at me…
No way! Ach du liebe!
Playful, a bit mystical and creative! Love the third and the fourth image.
