NOTE: All these photographs – as well as a great many others – were taken in early december 2011 during a one-week stay in Mexico City. Or, en el “D.F.”, as the locals prefer to call it. It was absolutely liberating to find my one first true love once again: black and white photography. It also feels very good to be finally sharing some of my imagery online rather than letting it all age in some hard drive.

to answer your question: digital. the pictures from this series are taken with a small lumix waterproof digital camera with an extraordinarily sharp leica lens.

thank you. the donald shot took a few minutes to get right: the shoeshine kept looking at me, which is not what i wanted. the park is not chapultepec, but smaller parks in and near the historic center of mexico city
